The conflict has resulted in loss of life, injuries, and mass movement of civilian population throughout the country and to neighbouring countries, as well as severe destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure and residential housing. In summary, according to Office of Coordination and Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports, with the scale and direction of the ongoing military operation, 18 million people are projected to become affected, including up to 6.7 million people projected to be newly internally displaced. Of the affected population, 12 million people are expected to need humanitarian assistance, and 6 million with the most urgent humanitarian needs – including shelter, water, sanitation, hygiene services and basic non-food items.  IOM is rapidly scaling up Non-Food Items (NFI) distribution responses capacity in the country. Proposed intervention for NFI and Common Pipeline include direct and indirect NFI responses, assessment, monitoring, procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution of critical NFI supplies. Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Programme Officer (NFI/Common Pipeline), and the direct supervision of the Project Support Officer (NFI Reporting), the successful candidate will contributes the production, editing and quality control of NFI and Common Pipeline Program reports and regular updates. Core Functions / Responsibilities:Keep abreast of all developments in the program activities and responses to prepare appropriate updates and reports. Adhere to internal reporting mechanisms. In coordination with information management assistant, consolidate and analyse data on programme implementation, achievements and indicators in all projest in order to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports and activity-specific reports as may be required and ensure timeliness of such reports. Assist in the preparation of quality on programmatic results to donors, in compliance with specific donor requirements. Compile, analyse, translate and also, monitor and review information and data from regular and wide variety of sources, especially from external publications od IOM NFI and Common Pipeline program for internal and external reporting. Draft regular updates, including bi-weekly report, monthly factsheets and other required program activity info, for internal and extrernal audience (including donors and media) Assist in providing visibility for donors' contributions to IOM NFI and Common Pipeline Program. Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings. Conceptualize, draft and edit stories for external communications products and support all aspects of its production, including fact checking, proofreading and quality control. Provide technical support, training and clarification on IOM’s reporting policies and deadlines. Provide administrative assistance and support in routine services and activities within the unit. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.Required Qualifications and ExperienceEducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited academic institution in Social Sciences or any other relevant field with at least three years of professional work experience; or High School diploma or certificate with five years of professional work experience.ExperienceExperience working in post-conflict/emergency zones and in high-risk environment. Experience in humanitarian response or related field (operational field experience a must / emergency experience preferred). Experience of working with governmental authorities, local or international NGOs or UN agencies is an advantage Experience in Non Food Items and Common Pipeline programming in emergency humanitarian response is an advantage. Experience in emergency, project implementation and management including project monitoring, distribution, field assessment, monitoring and reporting. Excellent communication skills, ability to coordinate and corresponds in a clear and concise manner. Excellent in report writing skills, monitoring , data collection, and assessment. Participates in NFI response in the field locations, including assessment, verification, registration, and distribution. Ensures the record keeping and systematic filing of the supporting documents related to each distribution. Maintains and updates the distribution database, and contributes to preparing the weekly and/or monthly activity reports Assists to verify sufficient stocks are available in IOM’s warehouses and provide regular updates on when stocks have arrived. Coordinates stock dispatch with Supply Chain unit for distribution in response locations.
